Oil Paintings ~ comments

If you buy original art it requires a frame that brings out the paintings features not overpower it.

Many websites do have a slideshow of different frames that work well with the piece you have purchased.

If you buy a *Giclee' or a reproduction it may need a coating or glass to protect the print.  Usually, if the size is large (example 16 x 20) it can be quite heavy for the wall.  But if you buy a quality reproduction with special inks on archival paper it can last for over one hundred years.

*Giclee' ~ a high quality print with special inks ( very high resolution ), and archival paper or canvas. The are also a Limited Edition and will have a numbered sequence and may also have the signature of the artist.
